The 18-hole "Cherry Point" course at the Sound of Freedom Golf Course facility in Cherry Point, North Carolina features 6,599 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 70.8 and it has a slope rating of 120 on Bermuda grass. Designed by George W. Cobb, ASGCA/(R) Clyde Johnston, ASGCA, the Cherry Point golf course opened in 2003.
